Dalton and Sons are a family-run business based in Derby but delivering nationally. Starting several years ago the business has gone through some transitions. starting as a handyman business we undertook projects for the residential customer such as decking and fencing.
It was through these projects we discovered composite decking and composite fencing and how much easier it is to install. Most of all we discovered how much easier it makes the new owners’ life. It never needs painting or staining. It comes ready coloured so is ready to use as soon as it fitted. Not like timber whereby you must stain it to get the finished look.
As time went on many suppliers sprang up all claiming to offer the best product or the best prices. We worked with many of these suppliers’ products and have developed a wealth of knowledge and know-how about composite garden products. We know what is good and what is bad.
In addition, we built Garden Rooms and garden offices. During the pandemic, these grew in popularity. Today Garden Rooms are being used as home offices, business premises, art studios, hair and beauty saloons hide always, and home cinemas amongst many other things.
Along with the growth in popularity came a growth in companies supplying garden rooms and we witnessed the confusion that has come about by the varying garden building descriptions being offered. An example of this is buildings advertised as fully insulated and on deeper investigation, we discovered the level of insulation was minimal. We also discovered how much installation costs were escalating. Considering this, we have worked with suppliers to develop flat-pack self-assembly buildings that truly are fully insulated and can be DIY installed saving £££ £s.
Don’t worry if you’re not confident, these can still be installed by a trader. The kits will still be quicker and easy to install. In return reduces the skills and labour time required to build your Garden Room.
With all this in mind, we decided to open an indoor store based in Derby and an e-commerce website. This enables customers to see good quality products from great suppliers.
We intend to continue adding new products to our store when the products have been tested. Dalton and Sons are passionate about offering good customer service. Gives you the widest choice and information for you to make informed decisions on the products you buy.
