Benefits Of Graden Rooms / Garden Buildings
Garden rooms are a great addition to your home. They provide extra space for a variety of purposes, such as a home office, playroom, or gym. But what are the benefits of garden rooms?
One benefit of garden rooms is that they are often cheaper than traditional extensions. Garden rooms generally take less time to build than extensions and can be built without the need for planning permission in most cases, our garden room kits have been specifically designed with the 2.5m height planning restriction in mind.
Our Garden Rooms are also highly insulated, meaning you can use them all year round without incurring high energy bills. Most garden rooms on the market are not insulated, meaning they can only be used during the summer months.
Another great benefit of garden rooms is that they can be built without disrupting your daily life. Whether you choose to install it yourself or employ a tradesperson.
If you’re looking for extra space but don’t want the hassle or expense of a traditional extension, then a garden room could be the perfect solution for you.
Our Range Of Garden Room Kits
Built With Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs)
Our garden rooms or garden offices are affordably built from fully insulted SIP panels. These are designed to keep you warm in the winter by having a well-insulated draught-free building shell. This saves on heating costs. Yet the clever SIP design also keeps you cool in the summer by stopping heat from getting in.
With the SIP structure being much lighter in weight different foundation methods can be adopted to reduce the need for deep concrete foundations.
SIP panels are much faster to build with than many traditional building materials saving up to 60% in labour. They are also Ecologically friendly, using up to 20% less energy to produce than other methods such as concrete. Despite this, the building remains super strong. This modern construction method, when fully assembled forms a monolithic shell that is up to 7 times stronger than traditional timber frame buildings and has the benefit of being highly effective in noise reduction.
All our kits are manufactured to meet the 2.5m height planning restriction. For more information on a planning visit our planning permission page. With the advantage of our kits being cut and prepared off-site. Then supplied as a flat pack kit means little mess on-site or to get rid of. This speeds up building time which is especially useful during winter periods when a build can still go ahead.
All kits are designed to be self-built and come with instructions to enable easy installation by a DIYer. A kit normally takes between 2 – 3 days to fully complete the external structure depending on the size building and the ability of the assembler.
If you decide to use a tradesperson for your installation, then a kit is still an excellent idea as it should be assembled and completed much faster than building from scratch saving on labour time and costs. For more information see our SIPs Page.
